BOPP Films

Films produced by double-sided stretching of polypropylene after extruder process are called BOPP. BOPP films have a more rigid structure than CPP films. For this reason, they are generally preferred in order to add hardness to the produced packaging. It is often preferred to create composite structures by combining with materials such as PE and CPP, which are more flexible with the lamination process.

General properties of BOPP films;
» They are rigid,
» Tear resistance is very weak,
» Has resistance against chemicals,
» They are highly clear and bright,
» They are suitable for lamination and printing processes,
» They have a high melting temperature,
» There are metallized and perforated types.

Usage areas of BOPP films;

» Bread packages and other bakery products
» Laminated use with CPP in pasta, pulses and other dry food packaging,
» Textile products packaging,
» Medical product packaging
» In the production of composite products with lamination in pet food packaging,
» Frozen food packaging
» Sterilization and pasteurization films
